Amsterdamned!

So Amsterdam was an absolute blast. The first day we were there it was freezing and rainy. Lucky me- I forgot to pack any real warm clothes so I was freezing my ass off. We went one day to the Heineken brewery, which as a lot of fun. They have this ride called "Brew You" where you stand on a platform and they show you how their beer is made by "brewing you". It was really neat. They had this thing where you could film music videos of you dancing around different places in Amsterdam and then email the video to someone. I took a picture and sent it to my parents, haha. We got 3 free beers with the tour, which would be exciting except for the fact that I think beer tastes like horse piss...not that I would know. I'm just assuming. We did a canal tour one morning since Amsterdam is full of canals that run all througout the city. This was a cool experience until we were trying to dock and our captain hit another boat (right after they had said "if your captain did a good job today, please make sure to leave him a tip") haha, sucks for him. We went to the house of Anne Frank that afternoon. You actually go through all of the rooms that they were hiding in. You walk through the actual bookcase that was used to cover the door. All of her pictures are still up on the wall and they have her real diary on dispay. It was so crazy. There was one wall where they had pencil marks from where they measured Anne and Margot's heights during their time in hiding. I stood up against it and I was like "omg, Anne Frank stood exactly where I am standing" After the Anne Frank house we decided to hit up the red light district just to say we had gone. Boy was that amusing. We were standing at the end of the street and these teenage guys come running up and were like "is this the red light district?!" I was like "haha, yep- have fun!" The girls were like taping on the windows at us I was like hmm sorry one I don't want an STD and two- I'm only into guys haha. One of the tour books we got for Amsterdam said it is important to remember that not all girls in the district are actually girls, and MOST girls undergo health checks once a year. Oh good! Shouldn't they be checked like every few hours?? Since we were all girls we walked past this one place and the bouncer guy was like "Ladies! Big willies inside!" um...no thanks...don't make me vom. We also went to this little town outside of Amsterdam called Zaanse Schans. it was beautiful! It had all of the old windmills and the wooden shoe factory. It also had a cheese house where they showed you how to make cheese and they gave you free samples. I've never been so happy! =) I love cheese. I broke down and bought a wheel. Let's hope it makes it home haha. Well we are in Hannover, Germany now. Th German world cup game is on tonight so this place is absolutely nuts. I can't wait to write more about it later. I miss everyone and I hope all is well back home. See you all in 8 days!!
