You and Me Could Write a Bad Romance!

So this weekend was probably one of the best weekends of my life. Friday night Kaela and I drove to Wofford to hang with Savannah and meet all of her Wofford peeps. After once again exhibiting our abilities of being perpetually lost, Kaela and I finally got to Wofford and picked Savannah up outside her building. The reunion reminds me of Legally Blonde where Elle Woods' sorority sisters walk in and there is like a 5 minute squeal match, because that's basically what happened. It was like roll the windows down, lay on the horn, and scream on our part. Savannah was more of a jump up and down and scream part. haha. Entertaining none the less. Mad props to Nan for the ballin' veggie lo mein....even though it had water chestnuts in it. =) Loved meeting all of her friends- shout outs to Kemper, Alexandra, Duck, Ben, and Katie! Daniel even came by and we watched like half of Rent, which made me happy. Ben, you are by far the world's pickiest eater but you are way cool. Thanks for driving us to wallmart at 3:30 in the morning to get a poster board (that we didn't even use) and random snacks haha. Sorry I embarrassed you by rolling down the window at McDonald's to ask if they had veggie burgers lol. Duck, I am impressed by your ability to shotgun a glass bottled beer, and I hope you have a blast in Japan! Kemper and Alexandra, thanks for letting us use your apt! Sorry we ran in and used the bathroom before introducing ourselves....haha but I promise next time we will use the bathroom before we get on the road. Oh and goodluck with advancing to the next level/stage/whatever you call it in guitar hero. Katie, I am so glad we got to hang out with you saturday night. You are funny as hell- keep Savannah in line, and make sure you continue our efforts with "you know what" ;)

So like I said, Friday night was a blast! Saturday I got to see Jer Bear- my favorite merchant marine who I haven't seen in.......I've lost track of how long its been. But it was so great to see him and Chris and Matt. Congrats to Jer on getting a job in Charleston after graduation this year!!! whoop whoop! But seriously, I'm really glad I got to see them and have them come to the show with me. I know Jeremy especially liked it since he drums. Oh and by the way! Jeremy- you are so lame for not doing that competition thing! Grrr...

I thoroughly enjoyed Spartanburg Regional WGI. I had no idea how crazy this stuff is but I wish I had found out about it sooner. Of course I have to give another round of applause to Derek McCandless and the rest of Palmetto Percussion for their first place win! The finals round performance was absolutely nuts. Definitely my fave part was the end where they all move forward while drumming and Derek basically threw his drum stick he was going so crazy. It was sick. bahahaha! Oh and of course, we enjoyed the whole "lot" experience. I think Nan and Kaela more so because they were shwassssssssstey! hahaha, but it was fun.

Saturday night was aboslutely hilarious as we tried to sort out Savannah's love life, dominated several bags of chips and french onion dip, and tackled CJ. The quotes from that night were too amazing to not record so I have a few of them:
1. "At least you have an erection..." --Kaela
Said in reference to Savannah's hair of all things....haha
2. "I just want to grab his face and suck it!" --Savannah
Yes we got that point...
3. "Have they dropped yet?" --Lauren
I mean...
4. "The only way I shouldn't be getting any sleep is if that bed is banging against the wall." --Lauren
I told Katie this is what she needs to say  next time she opens the door.
5. "Just motor boat that shit!" --Lauren
Savannah as your lifelong friend, I have only one thing to say to you.
6. "Release the Kraken! Wait, his kraken?!" --Lauren/Kaela
I'm not sure what this was about....I mean clearly I have an idea, but I don't remember what point of the conversation this was.

Other highlights of this trip would be my dancing while driving, listening to Bad Romance a ridiculous number of times but justifying it by saying it was the story of our life, Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale from Mellow Mushroom, the SHIRTS at mellow mushroom haha, playing with Button, dancing at the drum show, and being ask by the auto shop if our underwear was clean.

All in all- I'd say the weekend was epic. Lots of love sent out to all of my faves from this weekend.
